Guests can rent bicycles to explore miles of paved trails, paddle boats, fishing rods to enjoy the lake and five-acre lagoon system, and one-speed bikes for adults and children. A large playground and playhill, a 9-hole disc golf course, a sprinkler play area, a big dog park, and sand volleyball courts are also available.
Camping is a popular activity at this 1,015-acre park. Guests can bring their own tents or RVs or reserve a covered shelter to host weddings, reunions, meetings, and more. Tucked within the woodlands of Cypress Hall, the climate-controlled facility is a perfect choice for large gatherings.
This is a great place to go for a jog or walk around a beautiful lake. The park has a lot of different paths to choose from, some are paved and some are dirt. You can use the Pacer app to find the best route for you.
The park offers a variety of settings to celebrate your special day. Receptions can be held at a number of locations including secluded garden rooms and the iconic Legare Waring House. A lovely outdoor ceremony can be had under moss-draped oaks. There are also covered shelters that can accommodate larger groups.
The site can also be used for team building and adventure learning programs. It has miles of paved trails for walking, biking, and skating. Guests can also use the disc golf course and climbing wall.
The park hosts a variety of seasonal events and activities as well. Visitors can enjoy the Charleston Christmas tree lighting, the Charleston Reindeer Run, and other festivities. As a COVID-19 safety precaution, Winter Wonderland was closed in 2020. The festival will be back in 2022.
